Remember My Dead

Undeniably one of the funniest guys I knew.

Never to be taken all that serious

Calculating with your practical jokes

Leaving little chance of getting caught

Endearing as the older brother I never had.

Taken away too soon

Out of the blue

Damn I wish I could have said one more hello

Damn, I wish I never had to say Good-Bye.

Articulate and precise with your inebriated words of wisdom

Random moments of hidden darkness mixed with despair

The only way to escape your pain came with a price of a missed out life.

Little Blue Midge was a two seater that we puttered around in

A few mixed up plugs, an over-heated radiator and dirty filters

Rescued by the side of the road from a fellow neighbor

Unrelentless trying to get the life back into her

Escapade ends with laughter and the promise of another day; another try, another time.

  1. Good to see you back at writing!! Very interesting piece, I hope it isn’t anybody I know (or knew). You always end your stories/prose with a question from me that hasn’t been answered; aka, wanting to know more!!

    1. Thanks, I have been writing…. working on my manuscript. Not to mention, the newspaper. FYI… the people I wrote about in the prose…..their names are hidden in there,,,,can you find them?
