Rough Draft

This is a rough draft for my creative-writing class. Like I mentioned earlier, the last seven weeks we explored poetry. Here is a rough draft of one of six that I need to turn in for my final project.

Untitled

She slept under the stars. That old dark night.

She dreamed. She flew under the moons bright light.

Flying higher into the sky’s great height

She left behind all that gave her good fright

A dark dizzy. Scared stiff; swirl so high.

Look down. Heart skips a beat. Just soar; just fly.

Be brave. Believe; relax was her peace cry.

She knows now of the old wise bird’s keen eye.

Higher she flew, looking below at all.

The homes, the streets, they all looked quite so small.

Dark skies; bright stars. The full night moon won’t fall.

Awake in morn. Her night, she won’t recall.
